WELCOME!
Welcome to Comic Book
Pedigrees, the first and only website dedicated to pedigreed comic
books! Here, CBP brings you up to date on everything going on in the
world of pedigrees, including the latest news on newly discovered
collections, and current updates on our
forthcoming book covering the greatest Golden and Silver a
collections ever discovered.
OUR FORTHCOMING BOOK ON
PEDIGREES
We're nearing the completion of
Volume I of the greatest comic book collections ever discovered, which is due
out in 2009. It will cover 48 of the best collections from the
Golden Age, including Larson, Cosmic Aeroplane, Allentown, and of course the
colossal Edgar Church/Mile High collection.
Our new
completion checklist will keep you informed as each collection is finished
for the pedigree book. We've also listed
summaries of these 48 Golden Age collections, along
with pictures, charts and graphs to give you a sample of what to expect in the
book (this is only a small fraction!). Also posted are the
four criteria
used to determine if a collection is worthy of pedigree status, and a sneak peek
at the Allentown chapter of the book. Even though
these criteria have been kicked around in the hobby for years, no one has
attempted to quantify it...until now.

A NEW PEDIGREE
COLLECTION!
It's been nearly three years since
the hobby was shaken with the discovery of the enormous Crippen collection, and
the sale of both the Vancouver pedigree and McLaughlin's massive pile of Mile
Highs. Now the Rocky Mountain pedigree has been unleashed, featuring full runs
of Silver and Bronze Age Marvel and DC. It's no secret CGC's standards for a
post-1955 pedigree are stringent, which makes this collection all the more
spectacular. Read all about it
here.
